This is the third Leon I have owned, the first two were Mark 1 TDI and the Mark 1 is better than the Mark 2. I just had the main service with renewal of timing belt(s), the Garage had to get special tools delivered to lock the timing to change the belts so as not to disrupt the timing, that was over £200. Then I noticed a squeaky wheel bearing so I asked them to replace it. I had the same thing on a Mark 1 Seat Leon and it was a small job on the Mark 1, But on the Mark 2 Leon it's not just a simple SKF Bearing to be replaced but a splined bearing assembly! so that was a surprise cost of nearly £200 again! The Wheel bolt spacing on the Mark 2 is different from the Mark 1 so my Winter tyres on steel rims were scrapped because they won't fit. The Indicator warning light is utterly feeble and then you have the problem it does not cancel after you made the turn, the audible click is puny so the result is that I find myself driving down the road, still indicating. The Leon Mark 1 had a great pull-out cup holder and proper ashtray, the Leon Mark 2 doesn't have these luxuries. The Radio is useless as well. The Mark 2 lets water come in when it's raining and you open the windows. I could go on but I will not be buying a Seat Leon Mark 3.

Brilliant car to drive, with no major problems. I have averaged 30 mpg over the year, It can manage 35mpg if driven slowly. Mine has the original exhaust. The front seats are prone to wear a bit, but that's my only problem with this car. I have done 70,000 miles and I still enjoy it.
