Best car I have ever owned. I would have bought another but they no longer sell them. Only niggle is manually having to fold the mirrors when parking.

This is my 2nd IQ, there is one serous difference from the previous model that is the driver and passenger seats are to narrow and offer no support, I feel as though Iam constantly leaning to the left. I would advise anybody to check this out before buying.

Surprisingly comfortable for a city car. Good handling. Practical for two people with the seats down for shopping etc and getting the lawn mower in the back! Nice interior, although a little fragile in places and easily marked. Not as economical as promised - but then what car is these days!

Brilliant little car, does everything its meant to, has been recalled a few time, hence the mark downs. Toyota need to start turbo charging the iq, and add an extra gear, or twin clutch. Would buy again. Servicing expensive for what it is, but they claim special oil is used, however bill states normal oil, will question next time car is at toyota. Happy with everything else.

Very nice little car and fun to drive but not lived up to toyota's reputation for build quality. Mpg is only average for a car that claims 60mpg.

This is a car finished in Pearlescent White. The paint is peeling from roof and top of side panels. Other owners have also had the same problem with same year of manufacture and same paint finish. As yet unaware of same problems reported with other years / other paint finishes Cost of respray now exceeds value of car. Manufacturer has declined to rectify the problem even though it has arisen because of problems or errors during original manufacture.

It's the best car i have ever owned. Love it to bits. Would not buy the aston martin cygnet, as it is over hyped and over priced. The iq 1.33 does it all.

This is the best city car to date. Plus it is still comfortable on a longer journey. i expect more manufacturers will follow with this type of vehicle. Its the way to go.

Great car for local running - meets our needs for this perfectly. Not so good on motorways, though not bad. We have a volvo v40 diesel for this - longer wheelbase gives a less choppy drive, and car is more comfortable and quiet - gives long-legged cruise control drive on long motorway runs down south - there are not many motorways in the west of scotland, so the iq is great there.

Amazing what Toyota have managed to fit into such a small package. Turning circle better than a taxi. Quiet & refined, ride not quite as good as a large saloon, and cabin finish fairly basic.. With rear seats folded down, collie dog easily goes in the back. Recommend fitted Toyota boot mat at a little over £30. A car to make you smile.

Excellent little car. Mileage not as good as they say, this car runs along the bypass at a steady 70 very quiet, no wind noise, very comfortable. I have owned larger cars but set on driving this wonderful little car. More comfortable than some of the larger cars I have drivenm you will not be sorry with this car. Loads of leg room in front and quite a bit of room in back. Would recommend this car to anyone.

Brilliant engineered built and designed in japan in 1.3 engine with `cvt gearbox cannot fault this car fantastic drive in all weather conditions. test drive one and you will be hooked like i was. thanks sandy .

Innovative, funky and comfortable i've been very pleased with it. Shame the fuel economy doesn't come anywhere near what you'd expect for a car that makes so much effort to be small and economical.

Only had the car a week and honestly I love it ! I've been a petrol head all my life and wanted a small car for my daily commute to work. This little car ticks all the boxes. It's a much bigger feeling once in it rather than looking at it. It's got a good quality feel to it. Reading one of the earlier reviews someone was slating it big time !!! All I can say is,why the he'll did you buy it if everything about it you didn't like ??? Gladly 99% of us others love it and with good reason. If your thinking of getting one then go drive one,,,,,,,,im sure you'll love it ! Do it lol you won't regret it.

My IQ has just passed its 4th mot with no work required again. I have read lots of moans about this and that, the only work that has ever been needed has been new clutch 5000 miles ago the odd bulb + the normal service requirements and a set of tyres. My car is a 58 plate with 93000 on the clock, been all round Europe in it. I can't possibly be this lucky the car is just brill.

The IQ is deceptive: so many positive aspects but a few unacceptable features. Would I buy one again? No. Pros: Wonderfully short vehicle length. Fantastic turning circle. Great fun to drive. Spacious cabin (for the front two people). Cons: Very poor fuel use. Ridiculously wide (causing problems for filtering in cities and parking). Terrible blindspot visibility. Driver's seat has a tiny range of movement (more below). Very ugly. Tiny boot (but taking the plastic tray out helps). Can only just squeeze four people in. Brakes disappointing. Hideous plastic dashboard. Only the driver can safely control the radio/CD player. Back seat headrests severely restrict rear view. The width of the car means that when parking on narrow streets you have to make sure that you park right next to the curb so that the other side doesn't stick out. The driver's seat doesn't slide forwards very far, meaning that if you're driving on your own and have food or luggage to put on the back seat then you have to push it through between the front seats or drop the back seats down beforehand, or even walk all the way around to the passenger seat, which does slide fully forward. Aspects like this should totally have been recognised during testing and dealt with. I have even looked into buying a European passenger seat to install in my driver's seat position, to enable the full range of seat movement.

Copes better than expected with a small engine capacity. Ecomomy nowhere near that quoted by manufacturer, but that seems to be a common issue nowadays. Overall a great little car.
