My second Cross country as I had a V70 and then a V90 R Design which I changed to go back to Cross Country style. Not sure V90 are as robust as V70, but great car to use, and surprisingly good off road and in snow. We live high up in the hills, so a 4x4 is essential. The alternative A6 Allroad and Merc are also good but you do pay a lot more.

It's not really what this car is about more life-style orientated but good enough.
    Running Cost
A bit thirstier than normal V90 but low 40 typically.

I want to review the XC70 because it is a mighty car. Just drove through horrendous wind and rain for 250 kms and it went through it like puddles. So comfortable you never feel tired. The only complaint about mine is that it’s now 6 years old. Volvo were always solid and reliable. But now they are luxurious and classy as well.

Super comfy, amazing safety and semi autonomous driving features, incredibly relaxing and cosseting to drive. Great infotainment system, I love the Volvo 'on call; app with its remote start and heating. A BMW 5 series with the same spec would have cost many many thousands more. My only criticism is that its internet connectivity requires a SIM card to be inserted in the boot.
