Much improved over my previous 2010 MX5, better tech, nicer interior materials. Very compliant ride especially on the broken roads of the South Coast. The 1.5 engine was a surprise in that it feels stronger than the given output and that it feels just as strong as my previous 2 litre - ok it needs to be revved but that's the fun of the 1.5 litre engine . Always puts a smile on my face, a great little sports car. Yes there is some buffeting when the roof is down due to the rear buttress design but in my opinion not an issue and like the improved comfort on the motorway with the roof up versus the convertible version. However does not matter whether you have the RF or convertible version both are brilliant. Well done Mazda for making it and improving on it.

I've always looked at the MX-5 as just a nice looking sports car, untill I drove one. I was planning on buying a sports car in a year or two and was searching everyday for the one that would suit me best. The day I was supposed to test-drive the soft-top model, I received a call from the car stand saying that they ran out of mx-5's soft-top but they had the new RF model. They let me drive it for the weekend and it was all I needed. It's perfect!!! When I went back to return the car, I ordered one!! It's Super smooth and comfortable, enough power to "play" around, nice sound for such a small engine, mean looks, I'm happier than I ever thought I would be! Totally recommend for sports car enthusiasts and for a daily sports car!

I have the 30th anniversary RF with a 2.0-litre engine. I find the car very economical and it's a dream to drive. Very comfortable, sticks to the road like glue... faultless

What's the one thing you like most about your car?

The colour tango orange

Nothing needs improving - its amazing
