New Fiat 500L Trekking available now
The tougher Fiat 500L Trekking is now for sale, priced from £17,905

The new Fiat 500L Trekking is available to order now, with prices starting from £17,095.
The 500L Trekking is a more rugged version of the 500L mini-MPV, featuring clever technology that makes it better off-road. It also includes slightly different exterior styling and higher ground clearance for those rutted tracks and muddy roads.
Unusually, the 500L Trekking is front-wheel drive, as most cars that can go off-road are four-wheel drive. However, it has a system to help it keep gripping even on rough and loose ground, called Traction+. This system works out when a wheel needs more or less grip and applies the brakes accordingly. It’s much lighter than full four-wheel-drive system, and Fiat claims it’s just as effective over rough ground.

The Traction+ system works up to 19mph and is activated by a button on the dashboard. All 500L Trekking models come with automatic emergency braking as standard, too.
Trekking models also include mud and snow tyres, 17-inch alloy wheels, a touchscreen display, Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control and parking sensors. Tinted windows are also included as are a choice of part-leather materials for the seats.
The exterior changes include different panels under the doors, tougher-looking bumpers and a choice of seven colours, including Hip Hop Yellow, which is exclusive to the Trekking.
As with the standard Fiat 500L, the Trekking is available with a 94bhp, 1.4-litre petrol for £17,095, while the 104bhp 900cc TwinAir petrol engine starts from £18,590.
The 1.3-litre diesel comes with either manual or automatic gearboxes, and costs £18,590 and £19,490 respectively, while the top-of-the-range 104bhp 1.6-litre diesel costs from £19,590.
