Honda Civic Black Edition revealed
New Honda Civic model launched, along with a host of summer finance offers
The Honda Civic Black Edition has been revealed, along with a series of attractive finance offers and servicing plans designed to boost sales through the summer months.
Available with either a 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel engine or a 1.8-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, the Honda Civic Black Edition features, as its name suggests, a gloss black exterior trim, black alloy wheels and even a black boot spoiler. The aggressive look is finished off with a smattering of aluminium Black Edition logos on the outside of the car.
Prices start at £21,455 for models with the 1.8-litre petrol engine, while the more economical diesel engine is priced from £22,460. Like the rest of the Civic line-up, the diesel will return 78.5mpg, while the petrol engine is capable of 46.3mpg. CO2 emissions mirror the rest of the range, at 94g/km and 145g/km respectively.
But the new model is only part of Honda’s current offers, with deals on the Honda Civic hatchback starting from only £239 per month. That’s for the 1.8-litre petrol engine, but for just £10 per month more, you can opt for one of the more efficient diesel models – essential if you spend a lot of time on the motorway.
The Honda Civic Tourer estate, which boasts the biggest boot in its class, is also available from £249, while a £555, five-year fixed-price care plan is optional across the model range. It adds a five year free servicing plan, five year warranty, and five year roadside assistance, and represents a saving of up to £1,290.
