Smart ForFour Edition 1 revealed

The Smart ForFour will launch with a special edition version when sales begin later this year. The Smart ForFour Edition 1 will feature a distinctive paint job, styling tweaks and extra equipment.

Smart will only offer the car in the orange and grey finish you see here, but it also features unique 16-inch alloy wheels, lowered sports suspension, a black grille surround, and chrome-tipped exhausts.

Peer inside and you’re greeted by an interior that is just as striking as the outside with dark grey and orange fabric, plus an orange-coloured dashboard. The car is fitted with a multi-function steering wheel, 3.5-inch TFT display, velour floor mats, and a panoramic glass roof.

As with the standard car, the Edition 1 looks set to be offered with a choice of small capacity 70bhp or 89bhp petrol engines.

Prices have yet to be confirmed for the new ForFour range, but you can expect the Edition 1 to carry a premium over the basic car that will likely cost around £12,000. The first cars will be delivered to their owners in early January.
