Chevrolet Trax UK line-up announced

The new Chevrolet Trax small SUV will be available in the UK in two versions: LS and LT, and with a choice of three engines – a 1.4-litre turbo and a 1.6-litre petrol, plus a 1.7-litre diesel. The 1.4 comes with an all-wheel-drive system and can produce 140bhp, while the 1.7-litre diesel can produce 130bhp, with AWD offered as an option. All models are available with either a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox and come with stop-start as standard.

The boot offers 358 litres of storage space with all five seats in place, but when the rear seats and front passenger seat are folded flat the capacity increases to 1,370 litres. Eight seating combinations are available, including a 60/40-splitting rear seat.

The LS will come with 16-inch alloy wheels, air-con, remote control locking, rear parking sensors, front fog lights, auto headlights and Bluetooth compatibility. The LT adds 18-inch alloys, a rear parking camera, light-sensitive rear-view mirror, leather steering wheel and gearknob, plus Chevrolet’s MyLink system as standard. MyLink’s infotainment system takes content from smartphones and displays it on a high resolution, full-colour, seven-inch touchscreen, with a dedicated smartphone navigation app available early next year.
