Updated Mazda 3 MPS revealed
Mazda has released full details of its revised Mazda 3 MPS.
The flagship Mazda 3 MPS has been updated, with new kit and a subtly revised exterior design.
It gains a set of gunmetal 18-inch alloy wheels, aggressive Black Mica door mirrors and a new roof spoiler, for a more aggressive look.
The new car retains the outgoing model’s deep body creases, imposing bumpers and sporty bonnet scoop.
Powered by the same 2.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine, it produces 256bhp and 380Nm of torque – making it a direct rival to the Ford Focus ST and Vauxhall Astra VXR. It will do 0-62mph in 6.1 seconds and has a limited top speed of 155mph.
The high-performance Mazda gets Bi-Xenon headlamps, front fog lights and rear parking sensors as standard. A choice of four colours will be available from launch, with the MPS starting from £23,995.
