I BOUGHT AN EX DEMONSTRATOR WHICH HAS DONE 4500 MILES. TOO SOON TO SAY REALLY RE RELIABILITY AS I HAVE ONLY CLOCKED UP 2000 MILES.

the car has a been designed ok and the performance so far has been excellent except for having to have the front brake discs replced because of disc warping ive not had any probls except the car is does not wish to go up a 1 in 5 hill the car is under powered for this the 1461 engine needs to be replaced the new 1600 enging should solve the problem

Twice the battery has let me down whilst being parked for 2-3 hrs running wipers every 20-30 mins on "ignition only" without starting/running engine.

We have owned this for 3.5 years and it has been brilliant. It performs a wide range of functions, family trips, holidays, commuting, motorway driving, towing across Europe, carrying 4 passengers, roof box, bike carrier with mountain bikes, etc. It has been very cheap to own and run, insurance is approx £200, VED £160 and servicing at a local garage £ 120/year. Fuel consumption over 3.5 years has worked out at 40mpg, driven sensibly. We have just replaced the front brake discs & pads after 38K miles and that is all that has been replaced after 3.5 years. It is very spacious, the full length panoramic sunroof helps highlight it. It has lots of useful equipment. We are hoping to keep it for another 1.5 years and then see about a new one. Overall, a great effort, built in Sunderland and does everything well.

overall running costs are good less mechanical faults as car has only got 36K on the clock but only oils etc in services for mot's I also had to get the nearside door fixed when a cust of wind opened it and it bend agains't the hinge and creeased the door.

Fantastic car, great for the family. Nice to drive. Only two issues; 1. The steering wheel switches do not light up at night. 2. The boot door doesn't go very high and if you are over 6ft it is easy to bang your head!

I have had it for 2.5 years and I think it is a reasonable runner, quiet at slow speeds but lots of moise on the motorway. Air conditioner compresser broke last summer and had to be replaced (on warranty thank god). I think the interior feels rather cheap and the steering is vague. The manual gearbox is pretty notchy and diffuse. The best thing is the high driver position and the possibility to have 2 extra seats to use for emergancy situatiuons. And that it had (N tec) the sat nav, very useful. But comfortable? no not really. And the fuel consumption is something from the 1980s...

Very bad. Brand new car, had problems from first week. From breaks not working good enough to loosing all electrics while driving at night in middle of fields and forests.

I can honestly say this had been the MOST reliable car I've ever used. This had been my company car for the last 4 years and 30,000 miles. I'm obviously not a high mileage user but I've driven to the south of France at least half a dozen times for holidays and it's never missed a beat. No keyless entry for me but the remote central locking had never failed or bothered me. Sat nav is perfectly functional, although not as good as Waze on my phone for route selection or avoiding traffic jams. My major complaint with this vehicle is the claimed mpg bears no resemblance to reality. Even on a long motorway journey 44 mpg is the best I've seen. The only repair it has had was a replacement windscreen sure to a stone chip thrown up by another vehicle. Only other criticisms would be no auto window closing or mirror folding when remote locking (like my old Citroën Grand Picasso had) and the stereo is only compatible with Apple iPhones / iPods for playing music over Bluetooth. Phone connecting via Bluetooth is good with only an occasional need to re-pair the phone and unit. Reversing camera had been great, as has the Stop/Start technology. This does take a short while to get used to, and does require a slightly modified driving style when pulling away, but I've never considered this a problem. Tyre wear had been very good with only one pair of rears and 2 pairs of fronts in almost 4 years and 30,000 miles.

So far no issues but I have only owned it for abou 1 month. My previous car was also a Qashqai. I had that four 2.5 years and it only let me down once by not starting.

The automatic gearbox is very weak. Some irritating electrical niggles. Build quality not the best with lots of squeaks and creaks.

Engine management light came on 21 days from getting the car. Main dealer Macklin Motors Darnley Glasgow reset it and assured nothing wrong! November 30th 2012 enginge management light on Main dealer cannot fix so Nissan Japan are looking at the problem. I am in a car supplied by Nissan u.k until a repair can be made. Nissan U.K very un customer friendly !
