Since 2009 mine has done only 25,000 miles but is used on a daily basis. It's Black and the paint marks easily but cleans up well. It has steel wheels as opposed to alloys. Apart from being reliable its not without fault. Unlike my new Ceed it has a proper torque convertor autobox. Drive this spiritedly and it goes through front tyres quite rapidly. Discs and pads wear quite quickly . It's been recalled for petrol tank straps front drop links and the transmission radiator has been replaced under the 7 year warranty. Despite the drop links being replaced 3 years ago the car failed its last MOT on one defective drop link. The repair was nonetheless cheap. The handbrake becomes less and less effective over time and requires regular maintenance. The interior on our One model is very plasticky and requires regular cleaning as does the cloth upholstery. Our car has been Waxoyled since we purchased it. Cars that are not protected will rust noticeably and front springs have been known to break. Kia has a cure for this if your car is still under warranty. I'm very familiar with all Kia cars as I have a part time job driving for a local franchise. The Ceed (all models ) is probably our most reliable car. Its unlikely to leave you stranded on the side of the road old or new. Go for the newest model you can afford especially if there's still some of the 7 year warranty remaining. Our facelift model is now out of warranty and would be very cheap on the used car market. We will keep it as its reliable and cheap to run. Its performance is not in the hot hatch category but it will press on when pushed and has pretty decent handling and will take four people in relative comfort. As a load carrier the rear seats all fold down easily so its carrying capacity is very good. To sum up it's reliable if not overly exciting transport. This is the same car as seen on old episodes of Top Gear as the reasonably priced car.

Back in April 2015 I purchased a 2010 Kia Ceed 3 with the 1.6 diesel engine (I went for the 113bhp version simply because I wanted that extra power) . My current job involves me doing over 25000 miles per year so I wanted something that was cheap to run, maintain, tax and insure but at the same time be reliable. When I bought this car I was concerned that this thing would simply not be able to cover the distance without suffering some reliability issues, and was half expecting within a few months it would be replaced for something German. Over a year later and this car has not given me one single issue, it has quite simply been rock solid. At no point has this car worried me in the slightest. If I was the likes of Ford, Vauxhall, Citroen, Peugeot I would be really worried because I cannot see a reason why you would buy any of the above (Don’t forget the Kia 7 Year Warranty). Don’t get me wrong this car is not going to win awards for best in class for style and it does not set your heart on fire when you throw it into a bend but it is all in all a great car.

This is my second Kia, the first being a Carens. The Cee'd was just under a year old when we bought it. I use it for work and pleasure. I achieve around 50-55 mpg around town but have had 59.2 on a long run. It is spacious and comfortable in the front. The boot is large and the engine is responsive on acceleration. Service costs through Kia dealers is expensive but they don't all charge the same amount and I recently used a local garage that did not affect my warranty and paid £154 for the 40,000 mile service. I would certainly purchase another Kia. The only problem that I have had was last week when I needed to replace the fuel filter which is apparently a common occurrence on modern diesels with 50k miles on the clock.

suffered 1 small electrical earth fault. brake master cylinder replaced and the drivers sunvisor replaced twice but still does not stay up properly. the ICE had to be replaced due to a fault

If you get over the snob brand image, the c'eed is an excellent 5door hatch. Decent handling, good performance, surprisingly good build quality and great on fuel. All together i think i made a very good buy.

Generally pleased but economy worse than figures led me to expect and not as economical as previous 1.9l skoda diesel. Minor logistical anachronisms ie switch placements, radio operation and computer not as user friendly as previous vehicle.

Over all a nice car good power and handling for a mid priced car but a harch ride in the back and very very poor fuel economy and still an ongoing problem !!

My is fantastic to drive, it is very deceiving as the interior is bigger than what it seems like from the outside. It is a comfortable drive whether it is a trip to do the shopping or a camping/caravan uk holiday in cornwall (i live in manchester). All in all i am very happy with it. I get a new car in july 2012, the only difference will be that i am going for the estate version of the cee'd.

Thought kia was cheap prior to purchase, definitely changed my mind and would recommend the pro creed to anyone. No rattles in the interior either compared to my older renault megane.

Kia ceed is a brilliant car. Was able to cope in the recent deep snow and cold no problem whilst other cars same size where left stranded. Have driven kia many thousands miles over 1 weekend from country to country, ie often drove kia over 3 countries (running 3 marathons in 3 consecutive days in 3 different countres). Kia and i kept up well. Can you sponsor me for south pole marathon. Have run 360 marathons, irish record

With 7-year warranty exceptional value for the £8,000 price i paid (under the scrappage scheme with extra discount). Most annoying feature is very poor torque at low revs. Functional, but does not inspire same affection as previous car (blue peugeot 306) which after ten years was still receiving unsolicited praise for its good looks and comfortable ride and was a pleasure to drive.

Excellent build quality, excellent ride, excellent performance, kia have got it right...why improve on perfection. The delaership used was excellent as well....Can't Reccomend them highly enough. Buy a cee'd, be a star in a reasonably priced car.

This is the first time since 1974 that i have not bought a british/ mg rover car(british built. By chance we went to a kia agent following alot of good reports on kia cars. The one i have now was offered at the right price,at the right time. I am very pleased with it, it runs so quietly you strain to hear the engine, it copes with my shopping etc, and the sitting position for driving is the first time i have not driven on the steering wheel. After twelve months it is still a good looking car, mileage within range of 30-40 miles per gallon and other than the colour (which i was personally disappointed about ) i love it......

The most reliable car i have ever owned. Clever design (ceed sw) gives much more load space than most competitors which i need for family holidays. Comfortable, economical and looks good. Test drove lots of cars before buying this one (including upmarket brands) and was particularly impressed by how good the diesel version is. Drives with the ease and smoothness of a petrol engine.

Far higher quality and build than the badge image suggests. The facelift cee'd is a great car for the money. I've previously owned premium brands like merc, bmw, volvo, saab and range rover. We're now own two new kia's and just as happy with these.

Brilliant car for the price. 7 year warranty and 2 year road side assistance included in the price. Not many cars are worth a great deal after 6 years old anyway, this one will still be under warranty when we sell it.

Very comfortable and reliable to date (9000 miles). Car is too low geared (20 mph /1000 revs in 5th) and fuel economy much worse than official figures despite driving economically . With previous cars i have always bettered official figures. Claimed 46.3 mpg impossible to achieve. 36 -38 is as good as it gets - not good enough!

Absolutely brilliant, previous car was hatchback of same make so knew exactly what i was getting. In the 3 years with the previous car i had absolutely zero expense, other than the 12 month service which was definately an improvement on the focus i had prior to that

Performs generally well with good economy. has a few unidentified interior rattles but nothing serious. Biggest gripe is play on drive shafts which although apparently within tolerance requires changing down a gear whenyou do not really wish to, eg can not drop below 40 mph in top gear without the transmission beginning to "judder". Otherwise pleased.
