Good but when cold and below freezing the wipers freeze up and motor on pump to work the wipers freezes up and blows a fuse and not covered by the warrantry

Generally very satisfied with all key aspects; like the clear roof, comfortable seats, styling and performance. Av. consumption over 36000 m. since purchase is 48mpg, and i'm not a slow driver. Two limitations are boot size - my next car will probably be an estate, and front tyre wear. It may not be a favourite with j clarkson and co. but i'm a peugeot fan!

Great car, really nice to drive and very safe, so far very reliable, have owned a few Peugeots to this date and have been very happy with them, lots of space, great audio system, big boot, panoramic glass roof is a really nice feature! Low running costs and good on diesel

Well built reliable car. Very economical and NO DPF to go wrong. Recommend fitting all season tyres which transforms handling in poor conditions.

Great so far, bit to much noise from the rear suspension although thats being picky. its booked into dealer for whining noise in engine bay so fingers crossed its nothing major. But so far its been far better than expected from peugeot.

I purchased this car because it is a diesel and has good mpg, because of the nature of my job I have to use the car everyday and the reason I purchased it was because of the good fuel consumption. I have had the car fully serviced every year and did not expect it to break down on me as it did last week. After going to Peugeot for a diagnostic, I was told that the turbo had broken due to poor oil circulation. I then took the vehicle to my local garage who I have used for many many years, he wasn't surprised as he has had many of the same car with the same problem in the past. After talking to my mechanic he confirmed these high efficiency diesel engines are no good for short mileage or short trips and also that this is a common fault with this engine, however Peugeot refuse to admit it. While at Peugeot after receiving the diagnostic and speaking to the service team, I was told that the engine would need to be replaced completely, which I found extremely unbelievable as the vehicle has only done 70,000 miles and has been extremely well looked after. Luckily I have a good mechanic who has flushed the engine through and fitted the new turbo. As a result the car is running perfectly again. I would highly recommend nobody buy this particular vehicle if all you're doing is short trips and low mileage.

Despite the reviews, we found our peugeot 308 more comfy and nicer to drive than the equivalent ford focus we also test drove. A friendly and eager dealer service helped seal the deal

If the roadholding and ride were improved it would be a very good car. The ride height is too high and the suspension is too soft especially on corners where it rolls too much.

This is a brilliant car. The Interior quality is very good with soft touch materials everywhere (except low down which is irrelevant). The seats are very comfy and supportive. Visibility all around is quite good, except maybe at the back (but I solved that by fitting a concave rear view mirror). Boot space is very good for its class and the seats fold completely flat. The chassis is brilliant, it's very composed around corners with tons of grip and negligible body roll. The brakes also proved top notch in all kinds of situations, while the steering is very precise.

Was brilliant second car, wife loved it then I traded for a used Hybrid 3008 which she hates so swapping for a new 308 allure. Must admit the hybrid did not return anywhere near promised figures. Stick to a 308, diesel was fabulous!!

My car has been as good as i expected & to date has never let me down. It is very comfortable for the driver & passenger but is a little tight for room for rear passengers slightly above average build. Fortunately i do not often have passengers. The car looks good especially from the front & side. Provided you don't go mad the fuel consumption is very reasonable & perfectly suits my needs.

Good , cheap to run and plenty of boot space Poor it gives both me and the wife backache on long journeys - the seat sare unsuportive and the steering whel adjustment is limited. Not as economical as a focus with the same engine, but focus boot is too small
