New hot Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV vRS starts at £51,885

Skoda has announced pricing for the recently-unveiled Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV vRS. The new electric performance SUV will be priced from £51,885 and is due to go on sale on 17 February. When it arrives in showrooms in July, the Enyaq Coupe iV vRS will rival other sporty electric SUVs such as the new Volkswagen ID.5 GTX, with which it shares many of its parts.

Powering the Enyaq Coupe iV vRS is a dual-motor setup, with one mounted on each axle, which together produce 295bhp. Sprinting from 0-62mph takes 6.5 seconds - about the same as a petrol-powered Skoda Octavia vRS - and the top speed is higher than other Enyaq versions at 111mph. The vRS is nearly two seconds quicker than the cheapest Enyaq, so it should feel much quicker thanks to the significant power increase.

The vRS version is available in an exclusive Hyper Green paint colour, although a selection of other shades are offered too. Marking out the vRS as the range-topper are the requisite badges, plus a full-width reflector on the rear bumper. The vRS, which is currently only available on the Coupe body style, also gets Skoda’s ‘Crystal Face’ illuminated front grille and 20-inch alloy wheels as standard. Buyers can also choose to specify a set of larger 21-inch ‘Vision’ wheels.

Inside, the ‘vRS Suite’ interior design package includes perforated black leather upholstery with contrasting elements, which is mirrored on the dashboard and steering wheel. Carbon fibre-effect trim, aluminium pedals and sports seats also highlight the performance focus of the model.

Other standard equipment includes ‘Matrix’ LED headlights, giving full-beam power without blinding other drivers, plus keyless entry and start, a heated steering wheel, three-zone climate control and a panoramic sunroof.

Skoda has revealed that the vRS will be fitted with an identical 82kWh (77kWh usable capacity) battery pack as the regular Skoda Enyaq iV 80. Paired with the vRS’ dual-motor setup, this should allow for an official range of up to 309 miles.

Making use of 135kW fast-charging allows you to top up the battery from 10-80% in 29 minutes, while an 11kW home wallbox will fully replenish the battery in under eight hours. If your home can only accept 7kW charging, it’ll take a bit longer - but it can still be topped up fully overnight.
