The car has been very reliable, I have recently replaced front discs and new brake pads all round, also bushes and other parts for the suspension, but the car is over 8 years old.

It's the first car i've bough solely for fun (a convertible after a series of suvs). It's livedup to driving expectations but interior trim is not very durable for a luxury car.

Nicely styled with excellent folding metal roof. Disappointing fuel economy. Average ride, handling & performance. Solid build with excellent safety

It's a comfortable relaxing drive in an open top car with a folding metal roof. It is well made safe and well designed, which is exactly what was expected. It may not be the fastest or sharpest handling car in it's class but that was not what was wanted.

I think my volvo is possibly the best modern car i've ever owned, i say modern as i'm an avid classic car collector and my volvo is 1 of 4 cars i own.

Excellent ride quality and overall comfort, generally practical (ease of access and boot size - roof up or down). Let down by poor fuel economy.

Its a great looker, after all it is a traditional convertible with volvo safety built in. It is also a true 4 seater. What more could you want?

Everything i expected of it. Great versatility of the metal folding roof.

I bought the volvo because i thought it would be reliable, the roof squeaks when cold, batteries fail every year (possible alternator fault) and the drivers side window regulator failed just outside of the warrenty. Strangely i still like the car!

Performance even better after having the engine management 'chipped' from 220 b.h.p. to 258 b.h.p. which is how it should come out of the factory! Car is what it is-comfortable g.t. rather than a pure sports car. Handles well, goes well, love the style of it, it's reliability and pure 'fun' factor. Thirsty t5 engine is the ongoing cost you have to pay though, in addition to heavy depreciation!

I enjoy this car, the only prob I've had is the Ign Key & Battery, but otherwise it's a very good vehicle. Reliable, smooth, comfy and fun. Pity about the boot space. Why people rate the car with 4 & 5 stars then not recommend it, is beyond me.

Brilliant car, average 30mpg, no issues just standard servicing and tyres over the past 3 years & the best stereo of any car i have had.

I have had several large volvo's in the past, the c70 has not been built with the same quality of materials. The brakes are poor, ie, spongy pedal, having had a main dealer perform a recall service, they sent the car back out with air still in the system. The cream leather is not lasting and will require the front seats to be replaced due to discolouring from wearing jeans in the car. The alloys were damaged on the inside of all rims and very expensive to replace, only discovered when on a ramp after i bought it 2nd hand. The 2.4 engine does not pull that well . I could go on but i have been very dissapointed with this volvo and will not buy another.
