It has never broken down but has had to have replacement ignition coils which I understand is a common problem and also a replacement NOX sensor.

Great balance of performance and economy - 40mpg from a straight six petrol. Handles like a dream. Runflats ruin the ride, though.

This is my 4th BMW. My expectations are high and I am not disappointed. This car is the perfect blend of sportiness and practicality for me. It is sure to be a collectors model as it is the last of an era for BMW and their famous in line six cylinder motor. I hope to keep this gem for many years.

Tailgate light went off, turned out to be a led, not a simple DIY, had to take car to main dealer, luckyly replacement has been covered under warranty, so other then time wasted, no cost at least

Best car i've ever had. Fast, good to drive, great brakes. lovely smooth engine, good handling, decent ride, comfortable, well-equiped, surprisingly practical for a coupe and less expensive to run than you might think - altogether bit special.

Very poor build quality and reliability from a bmw, previously owned audis have been veyr good so problem appears to be bmw specfic. The car itself is great but as an ownership experience it has been terrible

Great car but doesn't live up to the fuel consumption quoted by bmw who quote 55mpg combined and best i have achieved driving really carefully is 37mpg. Other than that the car is superb, great comfort handling and performance, looks could be a little better but chose bmw over, merc, saab, audi and volvo on basis of fuel consumption which it clearly can't achieve.

Great economy reasonably comfortable with a little flair . Absolutly terrible in snowy conditions ,i drive in snow a lot am quite good at it but even with left foot braking and all my control this car is the worsed car in snow i have ever had. It is the diesel engine there is no controlling the anti stall control so it just spins it wheels ,crazy in this day and age something as simple as throttle control can be a problem.

Great car, known problem with high pressure fuel pump which bmw have acknowledged in the usa with a 10 year extended warranty on the pump. Other than that, great drive, great performance.

Disappointed that a bmw used 3liters of oil in 12k miles and has lots of small irritating niggles. Also a fuel injector and coil failed within 15k miles. Expected more from a bmw

I appreciate i've only had the car under three months, but i can't praise it enough. It is simply the best car i have ever owned, in every sense. Slightly more expensive to run and i suspect any repair bills will prove a little costly, but i didn't buy what i consider a premium vehicle without realising this. It is superbly built, feels like a quality car should and drives exceptionally well. In other words i love it and hope it continues to make me smile with every mile, as it has done so far!

Love it, fantastic torque & acceleration plus solid build. Only problem is the clutch which often gives an intermittent jerk when changing up through the gears as if it doesn't bite home straightaway & smells afterwards. Never does it when returned to dealer so can't correct fault. I'm not alone with this problem.
