Hot car deal: racy Cupra Ateca SUV for just £234 a month
Our hot car deal for February 16th is the characterful Cupra Ateca SUV for less than the price of a standard SEAT Ateca
The performance SUV is the latest hot ticket in today’s car market, and this Cupra Ateca deal might just be the most affordable way into the club. With fashionable looks, impressive handling and space for five, it ticks more than enough boxes for most families. The model in this deal lacks the beefy 296bhp engine of the top-spec Ateca, but at this price it’s still a very compelling option and looks the part, too.
What’s so good about this Cupra Ateca deal?
We found this deal through leasingoptions.co.uk, and we think it’s excellent value for a car as stylish and capable as the Cupra Ateca. In fact, this deal actually offers a chunky saving over many SEAT Ateca offers – the more pedestrian car the Cupra is based on. That model misses out on the sporty bodykit and copper-coloured accents that set the Cupra apart in a sea of rather monotonous SUVs.
This deal allows for you to cover up to 5,000 miles per year and requires an upfront payment of £2,805.48, followed by 23 monthly payments of £233.79. That’s a fairly hefty initial sum to hand over, but can be reduced by increasing the monthly payments. Likewise, if that mileage figure is too low for your needs, you can pay slightly more per month to increase the limit.
The Cupra Ateca in this deal features the 1.5-litre engine and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox combination. With just 148bhp, it may not have the grunt to back up the sporty looks, but it’s still a comfortable and sturdy SUV – plus you’ll save money at the petrol pump.
As an added bonus, the Ateca in this deal is the middle-tier ‘V2’ spec, bringing heated leather bucket seats, a rear view camera and an electronic tailgate on top of the already well-equipped standard car. If you’re not fussed about those options, you can opt for the base ‘V1’ model but you’ll only be saving yourself £2 a month – we know which one we’d pick.
What’s so good about the Cupra Ateca?
The Cupra Ateca may be based on an ageing SEAT model, but it still feels fresh from behind the wheel. It’s practical, good to drive, and its extra dose of style adds plenty of kerb appeal to the already handsome SEAT.
Few SUVs match the Cupra’s looks while still satisfying the needs of families. Some rivals may boast sleeker, more modern interiors, but many will appreciate the Ateca’s old-school physical buttons and knobs, as well as its lengthy list of standard equipment. At this price, we think it makes a compelling alternative to the likes of the Volkswagen T-Roc and Audi Q2.

Anything else I need to know about this deal?
This is a lease deal, often referred to as Personal Contract Hire (PCH), so there’s no option to buy the car at the end of the contract. You are effectively renting the car for the two-year term, but the deal is very flexible so you can adjust the term length, mileage limit and initial payment size to suit, but only at the outset. Once the deal is over, you just hand the keys back and start looking for your next car.
Our hot deals are carefully selected by our car buying experts and they are all subject to change. Always read the full terms and conditions and make sure the car and the deal suits your needs before proceeding.
