Free insurance offer on Volkswagen models
You can now get free insurance when you buy a Volkswagen Polo, Beetle or up!
Volkswagen is offering one year’s free insurance to customers who buy a new Volkswagen up!, Polo or Beetle.
The offer lasts until the end of September, and is available on most models of the Polo, up! and Beetle, including the Beetle Cabriolet. The offer applies to cars bought with the VW finance package over three years and 30,000 miles.
The Volkswagen deal is available to buyers over 21, or 25 for the more powerful models. The offer is not available in Northern Ireland, but buyers there can get a deposit contribution instead – so you can still save some money. More information and the terms and conditions are available on the Volkswagen website.
Cars bought with this free insurance deal are also available with a £199 Service Plan that covers the car for three years or 30,000 miles.
The Volkswagen up! is a small city car with a lot of big-car features. It comes with a frugal 1.0-litre petrol engine and is available with either three or five doors. It costs a little bit more than its sister car the Skoda Citigo – the winner of our award for being the Best City Car 2013
The Volkswagen Polo is a small hatchback car that offers high-quality materials and a spacious interior to buyers after a practical small car. It is available in BlueMotion form with a diesel engine that can get 80.7mpg and qualifies for free road tax, so with the deal this model could provide very cheap motoring.
After 75 years of the Volkswagen Beetle, it hardly needs introducing. The new VW Beetle, however, is much more advanced than the classic version, featuring air-conditioning, digital radio, ISOFIX child seat fixings and a CD player as standard. The 1.6-litre diesel engine gets 65.7mpg, but it’s not the cheapest car to buy – especially the convertible Beetle Cabriolet.
