Suzuki Scrappage scheme announced
Suzuki offers buyers up to £2,000 when an older car is scrapped
Suzuki has joined the rush of carmakers offering a scrappage scheme for UK customers.
The Suzuki scrappage scheme offers buyers an incentive of up to £2,000 when an older car is traded-in against selected models from the Japanese brand's range.
Scrappage allowances vary depending on model, with buyers of Celerio SZ3 & SZ4, Ignis SZ-T & SZ5 and Jimny SZ4 models benefiting from a £1,000 incentive. £2,000 is offered to buyers of SZ-T and SZ5 versions of the Suzuki Baleno, Suzuki Swift and Suzuki SX4 S-Cross, and is also available against the Suzuki Vitara in S, SZ-T and SZ5 trim levels.
To qualify for the scrappage trade-in, your car must comply with Euro 4 emissions standards or older and be registered on or before 31 December 2009. The car must have been registered to you for at least 90 days. Suzuki says that all cars traded in under the scheme will be responsibly recycled and permanently removed from the road.
Customers cannot combine the Suzuki scrappage deal with any other offers currently available, although all models available with scrappage support will be offered with a special 5.9% APR interest rate through Suzuki Financial Services.
The Suzuki scrappage scheme will run until 30 September 2017.
