BMW has revealed the range-topping M8 Competition model of the 8 Series. It’s the first time the German manufacturer has produced an official M version of an 8 Series, and the new M8 becomes the most powerful production M car ever built. A coupe, convertible and a four-door Gran Coupe are all available, equipped with a twin-turbo V8 engine producing 616bhp.

BMW X3M/X4M

Price: £77,190 - £80,110

BMW is set to cause a stir with its latest fast SUVs. Sitting below the X5M and X6M, the X3M and X4M produce 476bhp - or 506bhp if you choose the Competition spec. That’s a lot more than the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 musters, and is enough for a 0-62mph time of 4.1 seconds.
