Superb build quality and the big diesel is a fantastic power plant especially in the mid range overtaking range where there's huge torque - it's very quiet, too. Tiresome boy racers are easily dealt with! Massive boot, drop down rear seats even better, and the LED matrix lighting is sensational My only criticisms, for which a star is deducted, are; The lack of internal storage, as the centre console is too shallow, Electric folding mirrors should be standard on a £45k+ car, Some minor controls esp heating and a/c are fiddly, due to being too low on the console.

Superb V6 diesel is quiet and has plenty of grunt in the 30-50mph and 50-70mph overtaking bands. Excellent build quality. LED matrix headlights are unbelievably good. The hard suspension crashes on some roads, but gives excellent road holding. Huge boot, roomy cabin. The only downsides are the fiddly controls above the centre console and a general lack of storage space especially in the centre console which is too shallow. MMI system needs a lot of practise to appreciate all of its features. Seats need a bit more lateral support.

The Audi A6 is a cracking car has all the technology you could ever need, is quite fast and is comfortable for all types of journeys. However, that is where the praise stops because the Adblue system is terrible, it would be better suited to a £10,000 car not a £47,500 car like mine! The car will be practical for most people however the boot is minuscule and useless. My family's suitcases and for holiday trips barely fit inside the boot once things have been packed around it. Audi have not even fitted roof bars or any sort of universal roof bar system that might work so you have to ether buy Audi's system or some other brand's ripoff product, both fit under the door seals and leave irreparable dents in the door seals. Overall the car is fine for day to day use but once you start to use it for more than a commute or put the family in they will instantly complain wishing you had the E-Class 350d estate back again!

Ok so i have owned this car for 2 weeks now so most people will be commenting that i'm still in the honeymoon period, however... i will admit that i wanted an A6 and had been looking for one for ages previously i had a BMW 3 series M sport tourer as a company car and the only feature that i liked was the xenon adaptive headlight as with BMW's you pay for everything even on a M sport so i would never buy one myself. i have also driven mercedes c class and they are fantastic cars but the interior is the same style in all the saloons even if its cloth or leather so it doesn't make it that good to sit in. i was skeptical about the audi at first as my fiancee has the A1 sport diesel and the MPG figures are nothing to what is quoted which as i average 3600 miles a month i do need a car that is good on fuel. the audi i am very impressed with friends and family think its amazing and for a car that is 4 years old it certainly doesn't look it. fuel economy is terrific depending on how you drive i thought i would see what a normal long drive would be and with a full car load i still achieved mid 50 yet coming back from Birmingham i have set a new record and achieved 74.5 and a full tank has lasted me 811 miles when the reserve came on so i still have some left it has been the best car i have owned and one of the best i have driven even after a 600 mile journey in a day with work on top i still felt awake at then end with no stiffness

Having wanted an Audi for some time I found myself drawn to the a6 as everything comes as standard. I came across a low mileage 2012 plate and bought it. Since it was second hand the engine has been run in and it's achieving good mpg 55-60 motorway driving at 70mph Only downside so far is the fuel cap doesn't want to open but it's a common problem the car is so comfortable and a real ease to drive considering its size not done many mileage but can't see my mind changing

Worst car ever. So many faults: first air mass sensor repaired 4 times, then oil pressure low, blew the turbo, then the gasket and engine. It's cost me twice as what the car is worth!

The best car I have ever had to drive so good handle like it's glued to the road. Very nice inside and look better than the company bmw 5 that I had before with all the thing that when wrong with it. So touch wood so far the a6 is not had anything go wrong. I have the 20" wheels on that look great. Very happy with is car a would recommend it to any one who is thing about buying it.

The a6 avant has been a great car; practical and stylish. Its showing its age after 4 years of wear and the economy has reduced from an incredible 50+ mpg to a still credible 45+ over the last year.

A great car in many respects, fantastic engine, styling and the right size for me but has been let down by a few faults. Some covered by warranty, some not which has made it more expensive to keep going than it ought to have been. Will make me cautious about choosing an audi in future.

Excellent engine and gearbox combination. Economy and co2 performance has now improved in newer models. Biggest problem has been the incredibly uncomfortable seats - which virtually none of my colleagues can find a good driving position in either. Work on it audi!

I think it is an excellent quality car, perfect size for my giant breed dog! I love driving it, never have much to moan about with it. My husband hates the odd little tiny rattles and squeaks, but as its still under warranty i get them fixed!

Absolutely superb. Ride can be harsh on certain surfaces. Can be brutal if great care not taken with throttle. Brakes harsh when cold.

Nice car to own and drive. Persistent problems with sound system that audi dealers seem not able or bothered to fix. Major oil leaks occurred 3 times which have resulted in recovery. Nice handling and great pulling power, but for £30k i'd expect that!

Really only a 4 seater as the middle rear seat is as hard as rock and concave so v uncomfortable. Very easy drive with lots of power. Boot a good size. Expensive to service/maintain and i feel a bit ripped off paying hundreds of pounds for 'software upgrades' which i'm not convinced i absolutely needed. Have to service it at a audi garage because local garage can't cope with the specialised electrics, which makes it expensive.

3 years, 2 new wiper blades 2 new tyres nothing else could not be better. New list 44k i bought 1 year old for 26k i'm sure it's worth less than 10 now but it's been faultless

Tends to have cv joint / gasket issues on a bi-annual basis, but otherwise, never really a suprise at mot time. Good family car, excellent boot space, and has a nice bit of poke for a large estate turbo diesel.

Fuel economy not as good as expected for a diesel. Overall happy with the comfort and gadgets. A little disappointed when first bought as two major things went wrong with the car. Having said that i would probably buy the same model again.

The car has far exceeded my expectations and i would highly recommend not just the a6 but the audi range to anyone that is prepared to listen to my opinion. I also highly rate the audi dealers, they are very polite and very helpful which is part and parcel of making for an enjoyable experience with a car and its manufacturer. If they bring a hybrid engine out i shall also consider this for my wife.

A6 2.5tdi quattro sport avant. amazing torque once the turbo is spinning but 1st gear is pointless. Decent boot size. Ride is bit harsh but on 40 profile tyres in this country not surprised! Corrosion resistance isn't what an audi should be

Cheap to run for such a big car, due to it's tdie engine. Beautiful cabin, with a high class look and feel. Very comfortable on long journeys, plenty of technology to keep me happy and a massive boot. Handling could be a bit sharper, and it is a bit too big for most parking spaces.
