Well the boot is nice.... but the boot latch has failed and the clutch has just gone for the second time. I have also needed the battery replaced, and the electrics for the front headlights are intermittent. My car does not have a very hard life, although it does face a lot of hills, I do not expect this many serious problems on a relatively young car. Everybody has told me I am very unlucky and the Jazz is usually reliable, but this one has given me problem after problem. I have now given it up after the clutch went for the second time (I have never had this problem on other cars so I don't think it's down to me!)

Fabulous little car to complement our 2015 Honda CRV. I use it for buzzing around town and the hyrbid version accelerates like a wasp on steroids. The CVT gearbox is great - I observe the motoring journalists imply they don't know how to drive a CVT properly - if you use a leaden foot like a conventional auto then it does whine, but if you work with its natural progression it works really well, is fast and does not make odd noises. It is also chuckable - don't let it's image fool you.. like the wasp it can turn on a penny. The seats are a bit hard but otherwise a perfect 2nd car with amazing capacity and has a reputation for being utterly reliable.

This is my third Jazz and one of the last mk2 versions made. Motoring journalists generally do not like the CVT transmission, but what they never say is when traveling at 70mph the engine is turning over at only a fraction over 2000rpm which makes for relaxed driving. As usual the jazz gives you peerlessly reliable motoring giving 45mpg around town and over 50 on a run. I was eagerly awaiting the mk 3 version but was disappointed with the lack of a 1500 cc engine and it's indifferent styling which is not to my taste. This is my first auto and I can say honestly say I should have had one years ago. Negatives: as with most cars today, including Honda a lack of a fitted spare wheel is reprehensible penny-pinching at its worst.

It's a good reliable motor - the only down side to this car seems to be condensation it seems to get. I know someone else who has the same problem, I've taken it to the dealer told them about it and they said they would look into it but hasn't solved the problem. I've not taken it back as they may charge me and it's not really a big deal. It's one of the best cars I've driven - I would still get another Honda, maybe the Civic in future though.

I am currently having a lot of trouble with my Honda Jazz. I have been told that it needs new brake pads and new tyres. It has also taken a lot of effort to get them to focus on there being something wrong with the car. They keep trying to say that I am braking the "wrong way". I would love to know what the right way is, either you brake or you don't brake!! I am taking it to a different dealer next week for them to check the brakes but they are already trying to blame me!! Has anybody else had anything similar happen to them?

I'm 30 and been driving 2008 Honda Jazz for the last two years. It hasn't given me any hassle at all. Roomy, very versatile, comfortable, easy to drive, economical and I can go on and on. I did found one little minus, and that is steering. For some reason sometimes power assistant system do not kick in and you have to fight the steering wheel for a moment, but only when stand still. I don't care about this car reputation to be a car for elders. Honestly, that only proves that this car is fantastic, as usually seniors are very careful on what they spend their hard earn money. Now I'm three weeks away from getting my new 2015 ex model and after test drive, I just can't wait!!

It's supremely practical and perfectly reliable - only issue we have had was needing to replace the battery after four years due to lots of short journeys. If we hadn't had to replace it to fit in three child seats, we'd probably have kept it and bought another when needed. This is our second Jazz having owned the first generation, and that says something I think. It's been a great family car for up to 2 kids. Only downside is that isn't that exciting to drive, but it isn't really that kind of car.

This is a nice little car, very reliable and will take me wherever I want to go. Decent size boot and with the magic seats you can fit almost anything in this vehicle. Only down side is that although it has a 99 bhp engine it cannot be regarded as fast but as a reliable runabout it can't be faulted.

Second Jazz I have owned, having owned the previous model, I believe it cannot beaten on reliability and flexibility. The only downsides are the harsh ride and the annoying noise emitted by the warning system to remind you to attach your seat belt every time you start the car.
