Today’s hot car deal: VW’s brilliant ID. Buzz for £260 a month

Our hot deal for December 7 is on the coolest family car you can get – VW’s ID. Buzz for just £260 a month

2022 Volkswagen ID. Buzz tracking

Our hot deal for today is on one of the coolest cars you can buy. Volkswagen has taken the iconic T1 Transporter and reinvented it for the electric age in the stunning shape of the ID. Buzz - and you can have this modern-day icon for just £260 per month with cars in stock and ready for immediate delivery.

What’s so good about this VW ID. Buzz deal?

We described the ID. Buzz as a tech-filled and spacious MPV that oozes retro charm - but its brilliance is much more than just skin deep. The model on offer from Central Vehicle Leasing is the well-equipped Style Pro model. It comes with lashings of kit including 21-inch alloy wheels, the Assistance Plus package, the Infotainment Plus package, Open and Close package and even a retractable towbar if you wanted to tow or fix a cycle rack to the back - it’s pretty much top of the range. And with the 77kWh battery, Volkswagen claims up to 258 miles between charges.

There are a few ID. Buzz deals out there, but this one lets you cover up 6,000 miles a year with an initial payment of £3,600 (plus an arrangement fee of £180), then 24 monthly payments of £260.39.

With that level of equipment, this is a car that retails for close to £70,000, making this one of the biggest lease bargains we’ve seen.

What’s so good about the Volkswagen ID. Buzz?

Other than the looks, this is a car that will be supremely easy to live with. When those electric rear doors slide back, there’s bags of space for three people (or kids in child seats) across the rear bench, while the boot is huge, too.

And it doesn’t drive like an MPV - if anything it feels like a Range Rover to drive with that upright, super-comfortable driving position and excellent visibility all-round from a high-up driving position.

The ride is good, the electric range is decent and it comes with all the advanced connectivity, driver assistance and safety features you could want.

Anything else I need to know about this deal?

This is a lease deal, often referred to as Personal Contract Hire (PCH), so there’s no option to buy the car at the end of the contract. You are effectively renting the car for the two-year term, but the deal is very flexible so you can adjust the term length, mileage limit and initial payment size to suit but only at the outset. Once the deal is over, you just hand the keys back and start looking for your next car.

Our hot deals are carefully selected by our car buying experts and they are all subject to change. Always read the full terms and conditions and make sure the car and the deal suits your needs before proceeding.
