Reliability & safety Rating

3.5 out of 5

Alfa Romeo is working hard to establish itself as a respected, premium brand, and in doing so it places great importance on the expectations of its customers. With a modern design and the latest technology, the Stelvio is very safe, with an excellent crash-test rating.

Alfa Romeo Stelvio reliability

Alfa Romeo performed well in our 2020 Driver Power survey. It finished ninth overall out of 30 brands surveyed. Owners love the way their cars look and drive, but reliability seems to be a weakness – some 28.6% of Alfa owners reported at least one fault within the first year of ownership.

Safety

The Stelvio did very well in Euro NCAP crash tests with a five-star rating, performing "exceptionally well" for adult occupant protection, with a score of 97%.

Good scores were also awarded for the electronic safety technology fitted, and all models have blind-spot warning, forward collision warning and active cruise control either fitted as standard or available as options.
