Bought to tow 1,300kg caravan. Although not exactly brisk the diesel 1.6 115bhp pulls OK. Solo @ 56mpg regularly. Towing @ 40 mpg. No issues except a flat spot @ 1800 rpm. Spec is ideal. Visibility is good and interior OK.

Had this car for 4 years and it has been one of the most troublesome cars I have ever owned - clutch failure, hydraulic pipe failed, serious electronic faults, tie rod replaced, the list goes on. It is a wonderful drive and super comfort but... SO unreliable!

Bought at 90k - now at 160k and it's generally reliable. Apart from consumables, it's only needed 2 speed sensors. DPF light goes on occasionally due to long distances between fill ups. Good economy, comfortable (more so than my old s class and A8) and plenty of toys, storage design pathetic in comparison with others in class. Learn to use the steering wheel functions properly and it becomes very easy to flip between functions - none of this audi / BMW rotating nonsense.

In general a great car looks good drives well and comfy. Good on fuel however town driving does bring average way down. Car had 75,000 on when brought now at 125,000. Problems with both front windows this cost over £300 to get fixed. Had run well until recently now has power steering fluid leek and decides to cut out for no reason providing a list of faults on internal display, abs, esr fault anti pollution fault, oil pressure low warning etc all result is car cutting out and having top pull over switch off take key out and re start. Did it 3 times in 5 miles the other week then not again until today

I've had this car for 6 months it's got 60.000 on the clock. It's full electronics. It's really comfortable, great to look at, really roomy and the suspension is brilliant. I bought this for work and it's just been great, the car is immaculate - a credit to first owner and it's the best car I have ever had. For diesel it just lasts forever would defo reccomend this is top of the range it has all the toys. I love it.

I have owned my Citroen now for a year and a half and covered about 20,000 miles. The car is absolutely fabulous and the most comfortable I have owned, it's not a speedy car, but then you don't buy an auto diesel estate for fast driving. Any journey is a relaxing breeze and reliability has been 100%. Would I buy another one, yes, something I wouldn't say about my old BMW, Saab or Vauxhall.

Had this car for 4 years from new as a company car. Good mixture of long and short journeys, school run shopping and trips up and down the motorway for work. Spacious and most of the gadgets you could use - front and rear parking sensors are excellent (never dinked it). No mechanical or electrical problems. Aside from the services every 18000 miles very few trips to the garage. One set of brake pads wore out. Two Sets of tyres. 1 Set of wiper blades.

Owned since new. No significant problems. Very comfortable ride and a joy to drive. Can't understand why there are not more on the road. Toyed with changing to Audi or BMW but believe it or not can't bear to part with my C5.

We just returned from 2 weeks in Spain. We drove down to Valencia and back, 2500 miles in total, without fault. The car is simply awesome for long motorway driving (500 miles+ a day on return journey) and the only difficulty is staying awake! Car simply glides along on cruise at 80 mph in near silence. Both kids, 12 and 14, fall asleep as soon as the car hits the road and find the back seats very comfortable with plenty of room. For a big car the fuel economy is outstanding. We averaged 47 mpg over our two week holiday covering 2500 miles with climate control on at all times, the kids charging ipads/ipods in the back and the iphone playing through the audio system. During the 2 day return drive from Valencia (1200 miles) we averaged 49 mpg at motorway speeds between 70-80mph with climate set on low (temps in Spain were 35c most days). Day to day commuting during last 2 years have been very good with no problems. Fixed price Citroen dealer full service £200 every 2 years; great!
