Hot car deal: all-new MINI Cooper for £228 a month

The new MINI Cooper is one of the most eagerly anticipated new cars of 2024, and you can be one of the first to take delivery with this two-year lease deal. With charming retro looks and a futuristic new interior design, it certainly looks the part, while relatively low monthly payments of £228 make this a deal for your head, as well as your heart.  

What’s so good about this MINI Cooper deal? 

Sure, shop around and you can find a supermini for less than £228 per month, but there are few three-door hatchbacks as desirable as a MINI. They often command higher monthly fees compared to rival superminis, but this deal stands out as it’s for the yet-to-be-released, brand-new MINI Cooper. It was only unveiled in February of this year, complete with a fresh design inside and out, so you’ll be one of the first drivers to get behind the wheel when deliveries begin in the coming months.

This two-year deal is offered by Evans Halshaw Leasing, and will cost you £227.97 per month after a £2,735.67 upfront payment. Like most lease deals, you can reduce the upfront payment if you’re willing to pay a bit more each month, or vice versa. Similarly, the annual mileage limit of 5,000 miles can be extended for an increased monthly fee and upfront payment.

The new MINI is so new in fact, that lease deals are few and far between. Not only is this deal the most affordable we’ve found, it also undercuts many lease deals for the outgoing MINI hatch. The model in this particular deal is the Cooper C Classic, the entry-level trim with a three-door body and a three-cylinder engine. It comes with a standard-fit dual-clutch automatic gearbox plus lots of kit, including the fancy new 9.4-inch circular infotainment screen.

What’s so good about the MINI Cooper?

While we’re yet to get behind the wheel of the new MINI Cooper, everything we know so far shows that it’s shaping up to be another great supermini from the British brand. The three-cylinder engine produces 154bhp, enough to launch it from 0-62mph in a spritely 7.7 seconds, while fuel economy promises to be decent too, with around 48mpg achievable across a mixture of driving conditions.  

Anything else I need to know about this deal?

This is a lease deal, often referred to as Personal Contract Hire (PCH), so there’s no option to buy the car at the end of the contract. You are effectively renting the car for the two-year term, but the deal is very flexible so you can adjust the term length, mileage limit and initial payment size to suit, but only at the outset. Once the deal is over, you just hand the keys back and start looking for your next car.
