Citroen C3 Aircross gets ‘C-Series’ special edition
The C-Series trim level effectively replaces the Origins edition in the Citroen C3 Aircross range
- • C-Series cars get a red colour pack and a black roof
- • The new trim level is available to order now
- • Prices start at £19,550
The Citroen C3 Aircross has a new trim level for 2020, called the C-Series. Sitting between Feel and Flair models, the new version includes vibrant colour packs and additional technology. This new trim level can be pre-ordered now, although production isn’t set to start until February next year.
Marking out this new trim level is the ‘Regal Red’ colour pack, covering the headlight surrounds and the door mirror caps, and distinctive looking 3D C-Series badges. The new model also gets a black roof and black 16-inch alloy wheels. Four paint colours are available: solid white, metallic black and two metallic grey options.
Similar styling touches are employed inside, as the seats carry a matching red stripe and C-Series logos. Exclusive scuff plates and floor mats with red stitching are included too, but otherwise the interior is shared with the rest of the C3 Aircross range. There are soft-touch materials throughout, and satin chrome air vent surrounds aim to give the cabin a more premium feel.
Although it’s based on the entry-level Feel trim, the C-Series adds an array of extra equipment including air conditioning, automatic windscreen wipers and rear parking sensors. A touchscreen infotainment system also features and includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity.
The C-Series trim level can only be specified with a 108bhp ‘PureTech’ 1.2-litre petrol engine, mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. The 99bhp diesel or the 128bhp petrol are not currently offered.
The C-Series is the latest special-edition trim level for the C3 Aircross, following the Origins edition that celebrated Citroen’s 100-year anniversary in 2019. It’s just over £100 cheaper than the Origins model, with prices starting at £19,550 before options.
