The car drives and handles every bit as good as the BMW 128 i I traded in to get it. I have had the car for several months and routinely get 24-26 mpg in town. I have taken it on 1 600 mile trip to NC and averaged a surprising 34.6 mpg (mostly highway but mountainous) driving. The only real downside is that while it has 4 seats the rear is made for children or small adults. I would recommend the car.

Car is very reliable, hasn't broken down as such in the last year although the parking brake did go when I got home. Drawback is expensive to repair when needed

One rear light led failure after 3 weeks. Replaced ubder warrantly by main dealer.

The w124 is the best car i have owned. If they still made this model, i would buy it again! Twice a year i drive from southern spain to the uk and back, and i can honestly say that the journey is a pleasure. It has long since lost all its depreciation, but it's worth every (modest) penny i spend to keep it on the road. What else would give me the same level of comfort and performance for peanuts?

Great stylish car, I previously had a BMW 320d M sport which I personally think is a better drive and more economical. Although the interior is very nice, and being a coupe it has well enough space. Boot size is brilliant can fit plenty in the back, I have taken this car all over the country and had no problems what so ever, the only issue I find with it, that it is a little expensive to run compared to its competitors. Overall all though lovely car to drive and is very appealing to the eye, but I will be going back to BMW after this.

Mercedes warranty & Service is terrible. It takes time to arrange for appointment imagine that i am staying in Stuttgart the headquarter of Benz! So far i went 6 times to Benz workshop for warranty issues and my car was just 10 months old! Sat Nav broken twice. Noises when low speed braking (due to diesel in tank swirling noise by low speed braking) Currently merc installed C63 coupe damming material around the fuel tank in my car to reduce the noise yet it doesn't really quite help! terrible service at merc headquarter stuttgart! high Fuel consumption around 10L/100km for 250CDI Auto (City drive mostly). Merc? not recommended!!!

Car was services by main dealer on "a" service, three weeks later the engine blew up. They suggested that the tensioner on the timing chain had broken. I believe they did not put enough oil in the engine. Complete engine replaced by main dealer via mercedes benz.!! Other than this would certainly buy another mercedes

I expected a good car when i bought a merc (even second hand) but it has surpassed all my expectations. The car was six years old when i bought it but i could have sworn it was brand new. After two tears it still feels new and i would now never buy any other make.
