SsangYong didn't appear in our Driver Power customer satisfaction survey because of the small number of cars it sells in the UK.

SsangYong says it sells around 1,000 Tivolis a year, so we could see them appear in the future. The new model is also the reason why SsangYong is expanding its dealership numbers – it now has more than 65 outlets in the UK, including Guernsey and Jersey. SsangYong has jumped on many ex-Mitsubishi dealerships, now the Japanese brand has left the UK, and aims to have 75 dealerships by the middle of 2022.

SsangYong Tivoli reliability

However, SsangYong’s standard seven-year/150,000-mile warranty promises good things as far as the Tivoli’s long-term dependability is concerned, showing the brand’s faith in the reliability of its cars. It’s the best warranty on the market and better than anything you’ll find in the compact crossover class. Many of its rivals get a comparatively meagre three-year/60,000-mile warranty.

Safety

You don’t need to worry about certain Tivoli models being safer than others anymore, as it now features autonomous emergency braking (AEB) as standard. This boosts its Euro NCAP rating to four stars, and you don’t miss out on lane-keeping assistance, traffic sign recognition or driver attention monitoring, either.

SsangYong fits six airbags as standard (seven on Ventura and Ultimate models), along with electronic stability control and traction control.
