We've already sampled BMW's latest SUV interior in the X5, and it's almost exactly the same in the X6. One of its biggest pluses, the materials are top-notch and the seventh-generation iDrive infotainment system is both powerful and easy to use.

For the driver, the experience is dominated by a crisp 12.3-inch screen behind the steering wheel, along with another display of the same size sitting above the air vents. Unlike Audi's latest technology, the infotainment can be controlled using a rotary dial by the gearlever, or you can use voice control and even gestures.

Standard features include climate control, ambient lighting, leather upholstery, wireless smartphone charging, WiFi, Apple Carplay, BMW’s latest iDrive 7.0 infotainment software, alloy wheels and adaptive suspension. Fast M performance models get larger 21-inch wheels, an M Sport steering wheel and an upgraded exhaust system and brakes.

It might be well-equipped as standard, but there's still lots you can add to an X6. That includes convenience features like four-zone climate control and cup-holders that help keep your drinks hot or cold. Rear passengers will especially like the panoramic glass roof that's 83% larger than the outgoing model and mimics a starlit sky at night.
