Fully equipped with the sport adaptive exhaust, Harman Kardon Logic 7 surround hifi, the car is a real pleasure to drive daily. It's not economical at all for a daily use but nice to drive. The chassis is not as spory as my previous Z4 but a far more comfortable. No faults to report 2 years and 22 000 miles !

Rattles in both doors despite having been back to dealership for 3 days. The door noise is louder when the roof is off which spoils that fun. It is not engaging to drive but it is quick enough in a straight line. Looks great with roof down.

This car judders badly which makes it very uncomfortable. It has been to the dealer twice and I have also spoken to customer services. I am told that this is normal and called tyre skipping! A problem apparently common when the steering lock is fully on - I experience this with only a mild turn in the steering. I would consider this car unfit for purpose due to the discomfort this causes.

I bought for its mix of roof-down fun and practicality / comfort and the car has delivered in spades. I use it for local trips, commuting into central London and long distance business trips. I've just returned from a holiday in Germany, where we were able to get all our clothes etc (for two weeks) in the car and still get the roof down. OK, it was a squeeze and a long-weekend's packing would be more practical, but the car drove well on the autobahn and country roads and was very comfortable throughout. It's not a track day car, nor a true 'sports' car, but buy it for what it is and enjoy fun, practical open top driving whenever the weather is up to it ... and secure, dry driving when it's not.

Lovely car but having roof problems already – it gets stuck. Mercedes are trying to fix it as they were meant to check it during the first service but didn't and it got stuck again today. I have told the dealer that I'm not impressed that a 40k car has this issue at just a year old. Based on this I wouldn't buy again. 5 stars for looks and drive although steering is a little heavy but 2 stars for roof reliability.

Where to start! The DAB has not worked in the car for nearly a year now dispite being into mercedes 5 times!! Customer care has not been very good and as I write this there is no known fix aparently. The power steering pump has also failed that was fixed under warranty, but not good for a 2 year old car. Car drives well but definatley wouldnt have another mercedes. Be aware how big the doors are as parking can be a squeeze!
