It has the same engine as my previous 2.2D GLA 4Matic but seems to have a bit more performance. I can get up to 55mpg on a motorway run and about 45mpg around town. Its a lot more comfortable and a better ride to drive then the previous GLA and C class estate.

Our B Class has been comfortable, quiet, economical and totally reliable over the first 12000 miles. It has all the toys we need, including a good sized boot which can be increased in size by moving the rear seats forward and the optional factory-fitted foldable towbar is simplicity itself to use. The automatic gearbox is one of the best I've driven with smooth, well timed changes which, together with the 'hold' brake function and stop-start system, makes town driving very relaxing. A real gem, probably my favourite of all the cars I've owned in 45 years of motoring.

Most comfortable car I've had. Handles well, steering positive. Feel really safe. Inside and space must be the best in class, even with front seat fully back six footer can still sit comfortably in the back

This is the best car I have owned. It's extremely comfortable, has a very composed ride and is a superb motorway cruiser. I've had no faults at all in 2.5 years and 35k miles, and it's now on 60k. It was a great choice for my young family thanks to its big boot, safety, reliability and an interior that's high quality and durable. It's the first car I have ever owned that has no trim or dash rattles/creaks whatsoever. It's also more fun to drive than the body shape would lead you to believe, with little body roll and it points into corners well. All in all it's an excellent tourer for UK holidays. The engine (Mercedes 2.1-litre CDI diesel) is torquey and strong with mid 50s MPG economy on a run. An excellent car.

It's a fine car until the electrics started acting up. First the front sensors used to go off at random times. Fixed that with a computer upgrade. Now the car just went into fail-safe mode! Now again it has gone in. Apparently it's the accelerator unit? Will have to wait and see if that fixes it! If not it's gone, would not trust it again.

Our W246 with OM651 engine and 7G-DCT is wery good compromise between MPV and sedan. It has plenty of space (front seats and back seats also) - for my height (202 cm). Engine power is sufficient for "normal" driving with our young family. Transmission is OK (from "dual clutch" point of view). 7G tronic as an option will be much better. Manufacturing quality is good, despite the fact that´s "compact merc" produced in Hungary.

Computer problems on first trip,warning messages systems inoperative . Reflections of end dash vents in wing mirrors, repainted black by dealer to rectify. Drivers door mirror does not adjust sufficiently. Massive blind spot. No remedy offered. When the plastic crate provided for use in the boot area is assembled the boot floor does not close down fully! No remedy offered. Stop start system now unreliable and now awaiting a further investigation. Not premium designed. Good performance and economy though
