Colourful Citroen C1 JCC+ special edition now on sale
New Citroen C1 spec starts from £14,135
- C1 JCC+ gets blue, yellow and red accents
- Based on Flair trim
- First deliveries expected in July
The Citroen C1 is now available in a special-edition JCC+ trim level. It’s the result of a collaboration with French designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, and follows a similar tie-in using the Citroen C3 in 2018. The car gets colourful accents and extra equipment over the Flair trim on which it’s based. The Citroen C1 JCC+ is available to order now for £14,135.
Blue, yellow and red are said to be de Castelbajac’s signature colours, so the C1 JCC+ gets red door mirrors, blue wheel caps and interior trim, and yellow piping on the pillars next to the rear windscreen. There are tinted rear windows and a black contrasting roof, while wheel arch extensions and the 15-inch alloy wheels are painted the same colour. Five paint colours - red, white, black and two grey shades - are available.
You’ll find JCC+ badging on the front doors, the tailgate, the front headrests and the floor mats. Inside, cars in this spec come with a red dashboard insert, white air vent surrounds and gloss black trim. There’s extra equipment in the shape of automatic headlights and automatic air conditioning, on top of the Flair specification that includes a rear-view camera, electric heated door mirrors, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and a speed limiter.
Like every Citroen C1, the JCC+ edition is powered by a three-cylinder 71bhp engine that manages over 50mpg and 0-62mph in 14 seconds. The C1 is the smallest car Citroen makes, and is a rival to the Volkswagen up!, Hyundai i10 and Kia Picanto.
The C1 JCC+ only comes in five-door format, although the C1 range also includes three-door and fabric-roofed models.
