I bought this car three months ago as I have always owned Renaults in all I love it its smooth pulls very good up hill steering is spot on easy to park I keep reading that its meant to get over 50mpg on a run best I have had is around 38mpg (diesel) but all in all I love it has a full service book and is unblemished and for 200 pounds its a real bargain(apart from the mpg)

In general very satisfied.I Assumed after 1year of a brand new model being brought out, that renault had sorted out their poor reliability reputation and any teething problems and so far this has proved to be the case.

Unique styling, sporty gearbox and performance (for a diesel) with added diesel economy. Reasonably low running costs and servicing, especially after manufacturer warranty has expired. Comfortable, easy to drive with high safety rating. Only real niggle is the air con that needs re-gas every year. Oh and one more thing...changing a headlamp bulb is not for the faint hearted...lol

This has been a very comfortable enjoyable car to own,very economincal, and a pleasure to drive in all weather conditions. Plenty of leg & head room & a very good boot area, it is also a very quite car, especially on the motorway.

Stylish and very quiet. It is the cc model and the electric glass roof is fantastic. Fuel economy is as good as the 1.4 audi a2 i owned previously. The interior doesn't match the quality feel of german rivals but it was substantially less expensive to buy. All in all i'm very happy with the car.

Great 'drivers car' and no significant problems in over 3 years of ownership... Much improved over the clio i had previously, it seems that with each new generation of vehicles, renault manages to make substantial improvements in build quality and design.

Fantastic drivers car. Find i drive to sainsbury's 1 mile down the road and end up taking a 30 mile round trip just for fun. Car surpassed all expectations, turns heads like a ferrari, sounds great and will keep up with an m3 costing more than double with ease. Ordered the car after only seeing pictures, months before they went on sale in the uk and before any reviews, only going by renaultsport's reputation for hot hatches. Since then has won what car? Hot hatch of the year 2010 and now 2011 too. Happy days!

I like the styling of the car, i also think the 2.0 diesel engine in the megane is a peach, great performance combined with 45+ mpg, however there is not enough leg room in the back seats.

Not good quality, handbrake rubbish had to replace it, window mechanism broke, replaced that too and now the heater resistor pack has broke too so got to replace that as well, not exactly the things you expect to go wrong with a car, i have had renaults for the last 10 years, didnt like the modus, too costly on tyres got the megane but t his is proving to be very costly on repairs for things that shouldnt break down! Apart from the breakages the car is not built to a good standard, very cheaply made. but good on fuel and tyres economy. Its a pity they made such a mess with the megane,s workings, i have spoken to several people with same car and they have same problem with the windows, heater & handbrake! Will go back to my vauxhall or peugeot as the renault is just not reliable enough....................

Love the car styling and performance. I hate parking it as im worried about it's ly paint work getting damaged. The seats hug up and are comfortable at the same time. Front disks will need to be replaced next service and that's without thrashing it!

Excellent fun to drive. Frustrating little niggles like electric window motor went (a common problem in renaults) and a near impossible job to change a light bulb especially when it is a french car and mandatory to carry a spare bulb in france. Had no other problems. Very happy so far

This is the worst car i have owned. Paintwork started to come of the front of the car which renault refused to replace under warranty. Other faults were mainly down to electrics. Worth noting was the fact that the same electric window was fixed 4 times in less than 12 months.

I bought this car as I didn't want to be paying out for repairs. The first 1.5 years - no problems. But in the past six months of November to Februaru had the coil changed/spark plug and a new injector plug. After it left the garage after easter the anti pollution was still on and the car was loosing power. The car had to get sent back in and the techs could work out what was wrong. Had to get head office involved (that was nearly 8 weeks ago) and a new engine has only just arrived after never-ending promises. The engine should be fitted by now
